Healthy Sex Life Depends on Supplemental Vitamins, Minerals and Herbs

Men and women can be affected by an occasional lack of libido, resulting in an unsatisfactory sex life. When women are pregnant or for a period of time after childbirth may find their desire lacking and this is generally temporary due to hormonal changes that will be resolve once the hormones return to normal balance. Women who have libido problems can become a disruptive issue in an otherwise happy marriage and problems will ensue if she cannot eventually get back in the mood.

Male impotence, while not affected by hormonal changes, is affected by his testosterone level, which can vary on occasion. There are many remedies on the market today to help improve a couple’s sex life and return their sexual activities back to normal once again. There are many vitamins minerals and herbal supplements that are useful, many of which act by improving blood flow to the sex organs.

Antioxidants help by increasing oxygen and blood flow

Vitamins C and E are both antioxidants and they improve blood flow to vital body parts, including sex organs, by fighting off free radicals which attempt to steal our body’s oxygen supply at a cellular level. Replenishing the oxygen also increases blood flow and greatly improves circulation, sensation, and the ability to perform normal tasks. Vitamins minerals and supplements assist each part of our body by improving cells, muscles, skin, nerves, and vitality throughout the entire body.

Some supplemental herbs promote healthy sex drive

Among the useful herbal supplements we find that ginseng and gingko are popular and have proven results in treatment of lack of libido in both men and women. Others that are beneficial include life root which is also known as ragwort, senecio, false valerian, and squaw weed. Herb, these products relieve some of the problems women face when menstruation causes problems and also when they reach the age of menopause. These herbs promote regularity of kidney function so help prevent water retention, improve dry skin, regulate periods, and greatly lower the risk of fibrocystic breast tumors. Vitamins minerals and supplements like ginseng are libido enhancers that also help by fighting off the feeling of fatigue that can stifle ones sex drive at any age.
